Meyado’s John Fairs a Senior Adviser in our Singapore office has recently completed an incredible journey with the Charity Pimp My Tuk Tuk, here’s Johns story:
“I am pleased to have just returned from a truly life changing experience. Meyado kindly donated dry bags to the riders and film crew for our journey .
In brief myself and 53 other expat professionals from around the globe have just returned from a self funded, third charity tuk tuk ride . On this occasion around the island of Sri Lanka . The ride was organized by my friends and associates the Pimp My Tuk Tuk (PMTT) team in Singapore in partnership with the Foundation of Goodness Sri Lanka.
Our goal is to empower local communities along our 1200km journey conducting humanitarian and community development projects.
These have included building Reverse Osmosis water purification plants, providing solar panels, gifting to special needs schools, orphanages and the Foundation of Goodness centre of excellence.
The photo is of myself and Nick Sutcliffe Managing Director of the Conference Board Asia, as well as being the founder and inspiration for PMTT back in 2013 on the completion of our journey in Colombo. This is our third charity ride . There is also a great 5 minute video on you tube and face book along with a multitude of other photos that can be viewed here:
